Despite being a born and bred local, there are countless places I still haven’t had the opportunity to check out in Aberystwyth. The Grail is one of them. Established in 2017, The Grail is a savoury and sweet ‘hidden gem’ of a café. I’ve followed them on Instagram for a while, admiring their cupcake creations from afar. Personally, when presented with some sweet/savoury treats and a cup of coffee bigger than my head, I’m a happy bunny. View Post
I don’t know about you, but I love Mothers Day. It’s the one day of the year I can really spoil my mum and show her exactly how much I love and appreciate her.
The only problem is I’m useless at buying gifts. My go-to is always the hamper – which is arguably the easy way out. A few chocolates here, a few miniature Sanctuary Spa products there – it’s all just a bit repetitive. Luckily for me, this Mothers Day I had The Tartan Blanket Co. to help me!
Living by the seaside is something I often take for granted. It’s something I’ve grown up with my entire life, and I still can’t quite imagine what it’s like to not have the beach on your doorstep. Lately I’ve been trying to get out and about more, as I’ve massively fallen off the wagon with my fitness routine. So I took this post as an opportunity to get a bit more active and to go explore my surroundings. It’s actually quite funny how easily you can miss the most beautiful locations when they’re hid right under your nose.
That’s actually one of the reasons why I started this blog. To uncover the hidden gems of the UK!
Something I get asked a lot over on social media is “how do you edit your photos?”. This probably has something to do with the fact I occasionally post the odd before & after editing shot on my Instagram stories. I even have a highlight dedicated to my favourite ones! The truth is, I don’t have any fancy equipment. Everything I use to edit my pictures is 100% free (not including the price of my phone).
Not only am I going to walk through the apps I use everyday to create visual content, but I’ll also give a step-by-step of my photo editing process.
Idyllic country setting, indoor heated pool, and original 1630’s bar. It’s everything you could want from a country manor house and more. Welcome to the Mercure Shrewsbury Albrighton Hotel & Spa. This 18th century manor house oozes opulence and is a short 2.5 miles from the Shrewsbury town centre. Not being one for the hustle and bustle of a city break, this was the perfect fit.
